Swedish Massage: A classical massage of the muscles with special oils characterized by therapeutic stroking and kneading of muscle tissue to promote stress relief. It is used to improve circulation, relieve muscle pain and tension, increase flexibility and induce relaxation. It combines three basic strokes to the skin: long, firm strokes; kneading strokes; and small circles. This is the most requested and one of the most enjoyable types of massage.
Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage is a general term for a range of therapies that work to "unstick" the body's connective tissues and/or muscles to encourage them to function properly again. Among the conditions deep tissue massage treats are whiplash, low back and neck pain, and degenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
Hot Stone Massage: This therapy is becoming widely known for its deeply relaxing benefits. It employs a technique that uses smooth, heated stones which are placed on specific acupressure points on the body to melt away knots, tension and stress. It can be applied as a relaxation technique using hot essential oils. The hot stone experience relieves pain, promotes harmony, balance and peace.
Chair Massage: A 15 minute massage focusing on the back, shoulders, neck, head, arms, and hands. A great way to relieve the stress and impact of repetitive motions created in the work environment.
Infant Massage: Infant massage can help strengthen and regulate a baby's respiratory, circulatory, and gastrointestinal functions, often relieving gas and colic while relaxing both parent and child.
Craniosacral Therapy: Craniosacral therapy is an alternative therapy used to assess and enhance the functioning of the craniosacral system, which consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid of the central nervous system. The therapist focuses on releasing restrictions of the Cranial sutures and the underlying membranes through gentle hands-on contact with the bones of the skull. It is used to treat chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and a range of other conditions.
